Give thanks to God

I sometimes feel that when I pray, I ask a lot from God. I ask for help, guidance and forgiveness, amongst many other things.

But do I thank God enough?

Do we stop to think about all the things that God does for us? Probably not enough.

We ask, and God gives. I wonder if we start to take this for granted. When I’m having a bad day, I ask Him for help, I ask for the strength to get through that day. And sometimes I forget to thank Him for getting me through that day.

I am thankful. For so many things that God has given to me in my life. I am thankful for the people who He has surrounded me with. God gives me what I need, even if sometimes I don’t realise it. As it is said, God really does work in mysterious ways.

I should thank God for everything, however small. Because He gave everything for us, and keeps on giving every day. Whether we realise it or not.
